Why Montgomery County Homeowners Choose Hello Gravel
Montgomery County homeowners are working in a region that supports significant development: the area relates to a city population of 22,000 and a metro area population of 2.4+ million, and it is experiencing a growth rate of 2.50% annually. That steady growth translates into continued demand for residential upgrades, driveway repairs, and small-scale construction projects as new households and renovation activity push local infrastructure needs. Local climate and geography — with 228 sunny days annually, an annual rainfall of 33.90 inches, and placement in Hardiness Zone 8b — mean materials must balance water management and durability; homeowners often need aggregates, soils, mulches, and base materials that control runoff, resist rutting after rain, and support plantings suited to mild winters. Choosing the right bulk materials affects project longevity and maintenance frequency across patios, drainage trenches, garden beds, and access roads.Popular Projects in Montgomery County This Season

Frequently Asked Questions - Montgomery County Gravel Delivery
Everything you need to know about gravel delivery in Montgomery County.
Start by matching material performance to the job: consider traffic or load, desired finish, drainage needs, and budget. Because regional sourcing affects appearance and texture, think about how the material will look and settle on your site; our material calculator and aggregate quiz can help narrow choices. If you need more help, contact our sales team for recommendations based on local conditions and common uses in Montgomery County.
Wet seasons, hot summers, and winter freeze-thaw cycles can all change how materials settle, compact, and drain. Materials that drain well and stable base layers typically perform better after heavy rain or freeze-thaw, while deliveries are easier on dry, unfrozen ground. Plan installations and deliveries around drier months when possible to reduce erosion and compaction issues.
Hello Gravel requires a minimum order of 3 tons and offers standard delivery in 2+ business days, with a next-day option for orders placed before noon CST (additional fee may apply). Final cost depends on material type, distance from local suppliers, and load size; many orders qualify for free delivery, but you should check your zip code and get a quote for an accurate price. Rural routes can add lead time and mileage charges, so request a quote early for planning purposes.
We connect customers with trusted local suppliers and contracted trucking fleets that serve the Arkansas Region, so materials are sourced regionally and delivered by local haulers. Deliveries arrive on professional dump trucks (typically tri-axle) operated by the contracted carrier, and trucks are not Hello Gravel branded. Check availability for your zip code and we can share delivery windows when you place an order.
Possibly. Driveway work, changes to drainage or work within public right-of-way, and some large deliveries may require county permits or HOA approval. Check with Montgomery County planning or your homeowners association before ordering and secure any needed permits to avoid delays; we recommend confirming restrictions before scheduling delivery.
Aim for spring through fall when ground is not frozen and access is easier; avoid scheduling heavy deliveries during prolonged wet periods or immediately after heavy rain. Project timelines vary by scope—a small driveway topping can be a day, while full site grading and multiple material layers may take several days—plan extra time for site prep and drying. Order early during busy seasons to secure preferred delivery dates.
Soil type and slope affect stability and drainage: clayey soils hold water and may need additional base and better-draining materials, while rocky or sandy soils may need different compaction approaches. On slopes, prioritize materials and construction methods that reduce erosion and promote runoff control, and consider added base layers or geotextile fabric for stability. If you are unsure, share site details with our team for recommendations tailored to local conditions.
Compare options by how they drain, how well they compact, the finished appearance you want, and the load they must support. Think about maintenance, cost, and how materials behave in Montgomery County weather—some choices settle more, others wash away without proper base and grading. Use our online guides and calculators to weigh these factors, or contact sales for side-by-side recommendations.
Yes. Many suppliers in the Arkansas Region offer locally sourced aggregates and recycled materials that reduce hauling distance and environmental impact. Ask for recycled or reclaimed options when you request a quote and note any sustainability preferences in your order notes. Regional sourcing also helps match materials to local geology and climate.
Calculate volume by multiplying area by desired depth to get cubic yards, then use our material calculator to convert to tons based on typical density ranges for bulk materials. It is common to order an extra 10% to 20% to account for compaction, grading, and waste. If you are unsure, upload project measurements or contact our team and we will help you size the order.
Provide clear truck access, mark the preferred drop location, and remove low branches or obstacles; our drivers typically use tri-axle dump trucks and need adequate turnaround and space. Mark underground utilities and check for local right-of-way restrictions before delivery, and request tailgate spreading at checkout if you want the driver to consider spreading (this is at their discretion and not guaranteed). Confirm your delivery date and keep contact info available so the carrier can reach you on arrival.
As of today, we require 2 business days for delivery.

This involves pulling the truck forward as material is being dumped to make it easier for you to distribute material after delivery.
