Why Tull Homeowners Choose Hello Gravel
Tull is a small but active community of 350 residents within a growing West Arkansas region that is part of a metro area of 2.5+ million. A steady growth rate of 1.20% annually means steady, ongoing demand for home improvement and small-scale construction projects rather than sudden booms—expect consistent needs for driveways, drainage upgrades, landscaping refreshes, and foundation preparations. Tull’s climate—hardiness zone 8b with 228 sunny days annually and about 34.25 inches of rainfall per year—supports year-round outdoor work but also shapes material choices. In practice, homeowners need a range of bulk materials (gravel, sand, dirt, mulch, and aggregate blends) chosen for drainage, erosion control, moisture retention, and seasonal planting. Because local geology and soils vary, sourcing quality bulk materials that match local conditions helps save time and reduce rework on grading, patios, beds, and drainage features.Popular Projects in Tull This Season

Frequently Asked Questions - Tull Gravel Delivery
Everything you need to know about gravel delivery in Tull.
Hello Gravel requires a minimum order of 3 tons. Many Tull-area deliveries have free or flat-rate delivery for standard service, but fees can vary by distance, access, and material type; remote or difficult-to-reach sites may incur extra charges. Always check the price at checkout for your zip code and contact our team if you need a custom quote.
Standard delivery is typically available in 2+ business days from order. Next-day delivery is often available for orders placed before noon CST for an additional fee, but availability depends on local supplier schedules and truck capacity. We recommend selecting your preferred date at checkout and contacting our team if you need a tighter timeline.
Seasonal weather in West Arkansas can influence availability and pricing: wet springs can delay quarrying and deliveries, while peak landscape season in spring and early summer can raise demand. Winter freeze-thaw cycles and heavy rains may change how materials compact or settle on site. Plan ahead for high-season projects and check lead times if you have a tight schedule.
For many projects homeowners and contractors in the area choose a range of aggregates depending on function: base and leveling materials for driveways, decorative mixes for patios and beds, and utility mixes for pathways and drainage. When comparing options, consider durability, drainage needs, and the look you want rather than a single product name. Use our material calculator and quiz to match the right aggregate to your project.
Tull can have clayey or variable soils that hold water, so assess site drainage before placing material: standing water or poor grading will reduce material performance. Consider adding a stable base and proper slope to shed water away from structures; frost heave is less severe than in northern climates but can still affect thin surfaces. If unsure, have a contractor or our team advise on site prep and material choice.
Easy, clear access to a level drop zone keeps costs down: trucks need room to turn and a safe area to dump. Narrow rural roads, long drives, low-hanging wires, gates, or weight-restricted roads may require smaller trucks, additional travel time, or special routing and can increase the price. Provide access notes at checkout and call our team with photos or directions if your site has challenges.
Measure the area (length x width) and decide the finished depth, then convert cubic feet to cubic yards and to tons using our online calculator or the material calculator at checkout. Hello Gravel also offers an aggregate quiz and staff guidance to help with conversions and waste allowances for grading or compaction. When in doubt, order a little extra to allow for compaction and minor grading errors.
You can request tailgate spreading at checkout, but drivers perform spread work only at their discretion based on safety and equipment; it is not guaranteed. If you need spreading or specific placement, discuss it with our team in advance so we can try to match the right truck and operator to your job. For large or precise spreads, consider hiring a contractor who can handle finishing work after delivery.
Yes, check local city or county codes and any HOA rules before ordering, especially for larger projects, driveway changes, or material storage on the street. Some areas require permits for right-of-way work, curb cuts, or visible exterior changes. If you are unsure, contact your local planning office or HOA and let our team know if permits may be needed.
Because Hello Gravel sources materials regionally, color, texture, and particle shape can vary by supplier and local geology; this applies to gravel, sand, dirt, stone as a group. Photos are representative; exact matches are not guaranteed. If color or consistency is important, add notes to your order and ask our team for local supplier details before purchase.
Homeowners typically order smaller quantities and value guidance on quantities, delivery placement, and basic site prep, while contractors often order larger volumes, schedule recurring deliveries, and coordinate logistics with a jobsite plan. Both can use our online tools, but contractors may want to call for account-level coordination, scheduling, and bulk pricing discussions. We aim to make ordering simple for both audiences and provide support when projects are complex.
Clear a level drop area, remove loose debris and obstacles, mark utilities and any underground lines, and make sure trucks can safely access the site. Communicate gate codes, preferred drop location, and any hazards in the Order Notes so the driver can plan. If you need help estimating how much to remove or what prep is necessary, contact our team for advice before delivery.
