Why Phoenix Homeowners Choose Hello Gravel
Phoenix, with a city population of 1.2+ million and a growing metro of 2.6+ million, sits in the Sonoran Desert and is expanding at a rate of 1.80% annually. The local climate?about 228 sunny days a year, hardiness zone 8b, and roughly 34.25 inches of annual rainfall?drives steady demand for new homes, infrastructure, and landscaping that must perform under intense sun and occasional heavy rains. Homeowners and contractors need reliable materials to build pads, raise grades, backfill foundations, and prepare stable subgrades for patios, driveways, and retaining walls. Quality fill-dirt is often chosen because it provides compactable, low-organic support where native soils are too loose, inconsistent, or prone to settling for structural and drainage projects. In Phoenix?s environment, fill-dirt should be well-graded and low in organic matter so it compacts predictably and helps control erosion during monsoon events. Proper fill-dirt creates firm grades for landscaping, shed and pool pads, and wall backfill while helping channel rainwater away from structures. Hello Gravel connects homeowners with local suppliers who source regionally appropriate fill-dirt and schedule delivery by professional dump trucks, letting you choose delivery dates, see transparent pricing, and get materials tailored to Phoenix conditions. Request tailgate spreading at checkout if you want the driver to assess spreading on arrival; contact our team early to modify orders before dispatch.Popular Projects in Phoenix This Season

Frequently Asked Questions - Phoenix fill-dirt Delivery
Everything you need to know about fill-dirt delivery in Phoenix.
Order online from Hello Gravel to connect with local Phoenix suppliers, or contact local landscape supply yards and soil companies. Many big-box stores like Home Depot sell bagged soil but not reliable bulk delivery; for larger jobs, use a local supplier or Hello Gravel for scheduled dump-truck delivery.
Prices vary by source, truck size, and site access, but expect roughly $15 to $50 per cubic yard delivered in Phoenix. Final cost depends on haul distance, material type (clean fill, screened, or caliche), and any placement requests.
Fill dirt is usually cheaper per cubic yard than crushed gravel because it is less processed, but hauling and compaction needs can change the total job cost. Compare delivered unit prices and factor in whether you need base stone or compaction work before installing gravel.
As of today, we require 2 business days for delivery.
