Fill Material - Select Dirt

Select dirt fill material is a screened, high-quality soil product commonly used in construction and landscaping projects where stable, compactable backfill is required. Unlike unscreened or general-purpose fill, select dirt is chosen for its consistent texture and minimal debris, making it ideal for creating a solid base.

The "select" attribute means this dirt has been filtered to remove large rocks, organic matter, and other contaminants, resulting in a cleaner, more uniform fill. This improves compaction and reduces settling over time, which is crucial for building foundations, road subgrades, and utility trench backfilling. Select dirt is also used in residential projects for leveling yards, filling low spots, and preparing areas for sod or landscaping. While it offers excellent stability and is cost-effective, it is not suitable for planting beds or areas requiring high fertility, as it lacks organic content.
